Modern lives
In a society where consumerism is classed as a major pastime, I'm always amazed
at the ever-changing gadgets that are producved to encourage us to part with
our money. This is particularly prevalent in the baby world. Having said that,
there have been some incredible steps forward in creating equipment to fit
into our modern lives.
Most new mothers travel by car and have to wear seatbelts by law. Every baby
has to be strapped snugly into a personal seat which then has to be strapped
into the car. Companies such as Graco have come up with an ingenuous system
that integrates the carseat into the buggy, so eliminating the usual fuddling
and fumbling around by the car (annoying in the pouring rain).
