author jean liedloff is an amateur psychological anthropologist who spent
years with a tribe in the amazon.
her
conclusions about western child-rearing techniques in comparison to those
of the tribe are damning. some of her beliefs are a bit "new age",
but they shouldn't dim the importance of her overall message.
