our CSR
generally when we become parents, our environmental impact upon the planet is heightened and we seek products which are natural, chemical-free, organic and kind not only to our baby but also to the planet.
to reduce our impact, babyhut has not produced a glossy, printed catalogue. with new enquiries, we direct potential customers to our website and hope that it provides as much information as a paper-based catalogue would.
to add to this, our cotton slings are packaged in a recyclable cardboard box with instructions printed on recycled paper showing the ways to wear the cotton sling.
in posting the products, we try to be responsible by re-using bags, boxes and envelopes as long as they do not compromise the safe transport of the product.
our responsibility also encompasses economic, ethical and social concerns. we work closely with our suppliers to ensure ethical sourcing of goods, materials and services by focusing on labour standards, health and safety, and wages in the supply chain.
i am passionate about the environment and strongly believe in providing a world to my children and their children that is full of the diversity of animals, insects, plants and beauty that we experience today. to achieve this it is our responsibility to reduce our foot-prints on this planet and i hope that babyhut not only provides information but also products that are natural, chemical-free and useful to the baby and the parent.
