about ordering from babyhut
about us we aim to provide our customers with the highest standard of service possible. we want you to be delighted with any item we send you. whilst our legal position is spelt out in plain english under the guarantee section and in our legal agreement, we will consider a refund in any case where there is proper cause for complaint. we will do all we can to assist you.
complaints our procedure is transparent, but confidential. we will acknowledge all complaints within 5 working days, advise you how long it will take to resolve the complaint (we endeavor to respond to all complaints within 5 working days) and keep you informed throughout the process.
warranties all products are supplied with the manufacturer's standard warranty. no other warranties are expressed or implied.
making a purchase you can easily shop on-line using our secure shopping system 24 hours per day. just browse our catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. after you have finished your selection, click on 'checkout' and you will be asked a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. once the order has been confirmed you will have some options of payment. to pay by credit card via your computer through our secure system to send credit card details separately you will be given the option to print the order and post it with your credit card details to pay by cheque, postal order or bankers draft you will be given the option to print the order and post it with your payment under the 'invoice and payment before delivery option. to remove any items from your shopping basket, simply click the 'basket' key and click on the appropriate 'remove' key.
shipping and handling we can deliver to anywhere within the eu and usa. your order will be dispatched speedily by the post office or our courier service (at extra cost). for information and delivery costs for international orders please email info@babyhut.net our email response is prompt and we suggest, when able, to use email as the preferred method of communication. cancellations you may cancel your order for any reason at any time prior to shipment. once your order ships, it is subject to the returns policy.
delivery schedule for uk orders received before midday, your goods will normally be dispatched within 72 hours. deliveries should arrive within 48 hours of dispatch. please allow 10 working days to avoid disappointment.
packaging we like to be as environmentally responsible as possible. with this in mind, we frequently reuse boxes and packaging obtained from other companies. all our packages are stamped with the babyhut logo and our address.
international delivery customs departments may randomly select packages, which they will open and check. this does not happen often but is something over which we have no control. therefore, we cannot accept responsibility for any such action or any further legal concerns incurred by customs inspection.
back orders if your item is not in stock when you order, we will contact you by phone or email with our best estimate of expected delivery and offer you the option of cancelling if you would rather not wait or a later delivery date or an alternative colour/product.
postage charges these are computed depending upon the destination and weight of products
tax charges all prices include (where appropriate) vat at the current rate.
notes on vat for uk customers if you are buying for yourself or sending to friends and family in the european union then standard rated vat will be charged on chargeable items. eu customers some goods we sell are zero rated (which means no vat is charged) however, some goods do attract vat and you will be charged the vat on these items. if you are vat registered in your eu country then we will not charge vat. you must email us at info@babyhut.net to give us your vat registration number, name and address before you order.
credit card security our online credit card processing is provided by a market leading provider, RBS worldpay. RBS worldpay is part of the rbs bank plc. information on worldpay security is available on their website
guarantee returns policy - this only applies if you buy from us as a consumer. unwanted goods you have 7 days from the day after the date of the delivery of the goods to change your mind and return them to us unused, in which case we will provide a full refund less the direct cost to us of their return (unless this is seen as a breach of the distance selling regulations) will include the direct cost to us of their carriage to you and their return faulty goods you have 7 days from the day after the date of delivery of the goods to notify us in writing/email of any fauls. we understand this may mean you need to open the goods to discover this. please return all packaging to us if at all possible as this will help us take the matter up with our suppliers. we will pay to you your reasonable costs in returning the items to us and in arranging for this to be done.
